Abstract
In the article the contribution of Institute of Structural Mechanics of Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in development and distribution of dynamic methods of machines details calculations in the period of industrialization of the USSR and war years is considered. The role of the Kiev scientists is exposed in strengthening of defence capability of country, especially in area of aviation motor-building.
