Блогосфера Уанета в контексте развития информационного общества в Украине

Abstract

The article considers a new communicative service on the Internet – blogs and their role in informational and communicational processes on the Net. The comparative analysis of Ukrainian and English speaking Internet is conducted. The main research results indicate that the blogging doesn’t represent a social or communicative practice in Ukraine in contrast to the West. The low rate of blog’s usage can be explained by a number of factors: underdevelopment of Internet sector in Ukraine, high cost of Internet services, a big gap in media and digital technologies between Ukraine and the rest of Europe, Russian and USA. However for building and consolidating the information society in this country an urgent intensification and development of the Net with their services is required. It can be provided only by complex measures and programs in IT coordinated at all levels: local, regional and national.
