Abstract
The article covers the analysis of peculiarities of product life cycle, particularly life cycle of marketable products and item life cycle, as well as the interdependence between the related phases of the two cycles. The similarities of the corresponding life cycles for material products of different areas and significant distinctions for service industries are researched.
