Abstract
The study provides data on the problems of modifying bitumen with various polymers in order to improve their technological and operational characteristics.Studies have shown that thermoplastics increase the stiffness at high temperatures of bituminous mixtures, as well as resistance to cracking at low temperatures and increase the resistance of bitumen to fatigue. It is shown that to improve the properties of bitumen effectively use thermoplastic elastomers, which improve the elastic ability to restore asphalt and, accordingly, its resistance to constant deformation.
