Використання логіко-алгебраїчної моделі семантичних відмінків для семантичного аналізу речення

Abstract

This paper suggests a logico-algebraic model of a case grammar that allows to formally express semantic roles through the elements of a syntactic structure of a sentence of Ukrainian language. In order to describe semantic roles of a noun a well-formed irreducible set of morpho-semantic features of nouns are chosen. The formal description of semantic cases is performed by applying the mathematical apparatus of the finite predicates. The logico-algebraic model of a case grammar is used in the application of determination of a required preposition in the system of machine translation from Ukrainian to English language. This model is implemented in the sub-system of semantic-syntactic analysis of the machine translation system for correct determining English prepositions.
