Польова та мікропольова структура термінології нанотехнологій

Abstract

У статті досліджено термінологію нанотехнологій як складну організацію одиниць, що репрезентує поєднання позалінґвістичної системності з власне лінґвістичною системністю. Розглянуто критерії класифікації спеціальних назв галузевих термінологій. З’ясовано, що відповідно до логіко-поняттєвого критерію в термінології нанотехнологій можна виокремити певні рівні, репрезентовані термінологічними полями та мікротермінополями.

The article deals with the terminology of nanotechnologies as a set of special units, which represent the combination of the extra-linguistic system, that is, the system of realities and concepts of a certain special field of knowledge, with its own linguistic system. The purpose of the article is to define the structure of nanotechnology terminology on the basis of logical and conceptual criteria. Modern glossary of nanotechnology terminology, which contains 1120 basic terms and lexical units and presents conceptual issues useful for understanding the nature of processes occurring in the nanoscale world is taken as a basic source for the study: Komarova L. A, Zalessky E. M Nanotechnology. Ukrainian-Russian Dictionary of Conceptual Notions. Kiyv. 2011, 416 pp. Research methods. Analytical and descriptive methods to study each terminological unit in structural and semantic aspects, as well as to generalise and classify linguistic facts are used in the article. Methods of definitive analysis and methods of component analysis are used to study the content plane of terms and specify their semantic structure. It is found that the terminology under study is a set of terminological fields which are different in size and structure of semantic combinations of terms accoding to extralinguistic features. Different levels, terminological fields and their constituents – microtermfields, are distinguished taking into account the complex organization of terminology. The first level represents the broadest concept of the system under study, its core and quasi-concepts - "nanotechnology". The second level of classification gives concepts referring to particular branches of nanotechnology. The concepts related to different areas of nanotechnology form the third level of classification, which consists of such fields as "nanotechnology objects", "activities", "units and of measurement”, each of which contains a certain number of microtermfields. It is proved that the terminology of nanotechnology is a clear organization of special concepts, a set of objects, which is the objective unity of related objects, phenomena or processes and is a complex structural entity.
