Abstract
The paper presents a research into the influence of the excess air factor on waste heat losses and the efficiency factor. It considers case studies for determination of optimum excess air factor based on the RNI practice as well as gives a calculation of a method for improvement of efficiency due to reduction of air inleakage to the furnace and the gas duct of the boiler
