Abstract
The analysis of the modern publishing system LATEX is carried out. A review of the main documents governing the layout and printing of children's and youth literature. It is shown that there is a problem when creating Ukrainian documents in LATEX – this is a small number of quality fonts with support for Cyrillic, partly solved by the developed packages XƎTEX and XƎLATEX. It is proved that modern LATEX macro packages do not meet the requirements of the regulations on the creation of children's literature in Ukraine. An option is proposed - to write the desired macros themselves, as the LATEX system is open and allows it to be done.
