Ukraine and the EU: integration in the context of geopolitical transformations

Abstract

This monograph is devoted to a comprehensive study of the problems and prospects of Ukraine’s integration into the European Union in the context of contemporary geopolitical transformations. The work demonstrates the strategic significance of Ukraine’s European integration path, analyzes the political, economic, and security challenges complicating the accession process, and outlines possible scenarios for the further development of the integration process. Particular attention is paid to the influence of geopolitical factors, specifically the security environment and military threats, on the dynamics of Ukraine’s European integration and its role in shaping the contemporary architecture of European security. The study employs systemic, comparative, and forecasting approaches, enabling a comprehensive assessment of the interrelationship between domestic reforms, external challenges, and international support. Based on the analysis, practical recommendations are formulated to enhance the effectiveness of Ukraine’s integration policy, strengthen its competitiveness, and deepen cooperation with the European Union in the context of global changes.
