Abstract
This talk is devoted to an analysis of the concept ofMIGRANT in English and Ukrainian world construals. The study focuses on the lexical means through which this concept is actualized, as well as on the conceptual metaphors of MIGRANT. It further identifies shared and divergent metaphorical models that reveal different conceptual characteristics of MIGRANT across the two world construals.
