Abstract

The article suggests philosophical interpretation of translation and its functions in contemporary world. It is based on J. Derrida's ideas about the deconstruction of binary opposition between the original and translation. We compare translation with transgression in M. Foucault's, M. Blanchot's and J. Derrida's understanding. As a result we put forward the postmodern conception of translation which presupposes renunciation of the totalitarianism of the only sense in favour of rhizomatic multiplication of equal alternatives.
