Abstract
In this article we have analyzed some special features of exploitation of turbogenerators on the power plants blocks during the process of power grid performance stabilization. Modern turbogenerators are intended to operate as a part of energy systems under severe conditions: at lower frequency and voltage, with systematic launches and stops, under varying dynamic effects on the unit parts. This results in faster wear and emergency outages of turbogenerators, in occurrence of torsion vibration, shock currents, inaccurate synchronization, etc. Such conditions call for the development of additional operation requirements for turbogenerators that are designed for power plants units working in nonnominal modes and are not intended to. The assessment was performed to define the possibility of using turbogenerators for load deficiency control (load decrease and increase) in power systems depending on the type of power plants.
