В работе приведены области использования вейвлет-преобразований. Представлено доказательство перспектив использования вейвлет-анализа в технологии машиностроения. Рассмотрены преимущества данного метода над преобразованием Фурье. Приведены способы расчета шероховатости поверхности с помощью вейвлет-анализа
