Abstract

Computer-aided design (CAD) systems facilitate the creation, modification, analysis, and optimization of designs using computer systems. CAD systems are divided into computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and computer-aided engineering (CAE). The most important function of computer-aided design is to determine the geometry of the design and to model functional and electrical circuits. Computer-aided design is a technology that involves using computer systems to analyze CAD geometry, simulate, improve, and optimize the design. OrCAD is a system that allows a developer to model electronic circuits and design printed circuit boards. The suite of programs consists of OrCAD Capture (a graphical editor of electrical schematics); OrCAD Capture CIS (a schematic editor with the ability to maintain component databases); OrCAD Layout Plus (printed circuit board editor); OrCAD PSpice A/D (used for mixed modeling of analog and digital devices). In methodological instructions consider the practical use of OrCAD in the development of complex hierarchical computing devices using various bottom-up and top-down design methods, analysis of their performance based on modeling, as well as topological design of these devices.
