Зарубіжна методика формування громадянських вмінь

Abstract

У статті викладено методику формування громадянських вмінь в учнів старших класів середніх шкіл США. Обґрунтовується доцільність її використання в школах і вищих навчальних закладах України. Аналізуються дидактичні та методичні аспекти формування в учнів двадцяти чотирьох вмінь свідомого компетентного громадянина, що поділяються на три види: суто громадянські, дослідницькі і навички критичного мислення. Кожна група вмінь містить вісім узагальнених дій, якими суб’єкти навчально-пізнавальної діяльності повинні усвідомлено володіти. Зазначена методика формування громадянських вмінь описана у підручнику з громадянознавства, що застосовується у старших класах сучасних американських шкіл.

The article describes methods of forming civic skills in the upper grades of secondary schools in the United States of America. The authors prove the feasibility of using this technique at secondary schools and higher educational institutions of Ukraine. The authors also analyze the didactic and methodological aspects of the process of teaching the skills of conscious competent citizen. These skills are divided into three types: civic skills, research skills and the ability of critical thinking. Each group of theses kills includes eight generalized actions which learners must consciously use. The authors analyze the learning technique described in the American textbook on civic education. The American teachers use this textbook at the senior grades of high school. The authors formulate the conditions of successful using of the technique. Conditions of such effective work: the accounting of age and specific features of pupils, their effective business communication, positive motivation of educational activity and creation of problem situations on the lessons.
