An approach to build a decentralized collection of business process models
    (Publisher Individual entrepreneur Picha Y. V., 2021) Kopp, A. M.; Orlovskyi, D. L.; Orekhov, Sergey Valerievich
In this study we have proposed the approach to organization of decentralized blockchain-based business process model repository that could be used to provide secure software solution to store and access the business process model collection in a tamper-resistant manner.

Towards the Generalized Criterion for Evaluation of Business Process Model Quality
    (CEUR Workshop Proceedings, 2020) Kopp, A. M.; Orlovskyi, D. L.
Business process management has become the most widely-used and reliable approach to organizational management over the last decades. It is also considered as a part of quality management system in an organization. Business process modeling is the core of business process management, which is used for visualization, analysis, and improvement of organizational activities. Moreover, business process modeling plays an important role in the context of business process management maturity of an overall enterprise. Therefore, this paper is focused on the problem of business process model quality evaluation. Existing approaches based on the process modeling guidelines, measures and corresponding thresholds are reviewed, as well as the refined process modeling rules, corresponding quality criteria, the generalized quality criterion, and thresholds for its translation into linguistic values are proposed. The data model and software prototype are developed and the validation results are outlined.

Enterprise Architecture Modeling Support based on Data Extraction from Business Process Models
    (CEUR Workshop Proceedings, 2020) Orlovskyi, D. L.; Kopp, A. M.
This paper presents a problem of enterprise architecture artifacts extraction from business process model collections, which organizations of higher maturity levels tend to manage, in order to build the architecture landscape and apply enterprise architecture management practices. Existing enterprise architecture frameworks, languages, and methodologies are discussed. Proposed approach is based on mapping between business process and enterprise architecture elements in order to present all business architecture artifacts in a single coarse-grained model. The software implementation allows generating business architecture landscapes that could be used for architecture evolution purposes, such as transformation planning or maintenance efforts evaluation.

Estimation and analysis of business process models similarity in enterprise continuum repository
(Національний технічний університет України "Київський політехнічний інститут ім. Ігоря Сікорського", 2018) Kopp, A. M.; Orlovskyi, D. L.
This paper considers the problem of the store, share, and reuse of organizational knowledge represented using business process models. Various studies related to managing large collections of business process models are reviewed. The core concept of business process model repository was outlined as well as the reference architecture provided in related works. This research is focused on considering the business process model repository as part of the whole architecture repository defined in the field of enterprise architecture. The knowledge-based model used to store process models, as well as the similarity measure used to identify process models in the repository that are similar to a given process model or a fragment there of are proposed. Besides that, the elaborated approach proposes the decision tree model for business process models classification according to the enterprise continuum concept of enterprise architecture, as well as the conceptual model of the business process model repository. The software prototype developed to implement the proposed approach was used to upload sample process models and estimate their similarity according to the enterprise continuum categories. The accuracy of the proposed similarity measure is analyzed for the different enterprise continuum categories of artifacts.

Towards the business process model as code approach
    (2020) Orlovskyi, D. L.; Kopp, A. M.
Business process management and its modeling capabilities are vital for successful analysis, improvement and automation of core organizational processes. However, manual process model design is error-prone, while graphic models are almost not traceable and reusable. Thus, Everything as Code practice, successfully used in software engineering, can be also applied to business process modeling domain. This study shows the idea of process model as code approach and early results in this field.

Using computer vision and fuzzy logic to assess quality of business process models
(Прикарпатський національний університет ім. Василя Стефаника, 2019) Kopp, A. M.; Orlovskyi, D. L.
In this paper we propose a method for quality assessment of business process models using computer vision and fuzzy logic. OpenCV library usage as well as bypassing of its drawbacks of template matching is considered. Membership functions of metrics of the business process model quality are outlined. Obtained results and future research are discussed.
