Від 2014 року кафедра має назву "Педагогіка та психологія управління соціальними системами ім. акад. І. А. Зязюна", первісна назва – "Педагогіка та психологія управління соціальними системами".

Кафедра "Педагогіка та психологія управління соціальними системами" – перша та єдина в Україні кафедра серед технічних ЗВО України, яка цілеспрямовано займається проблемами лідерства та управлінської підготовки на різних рівнях освіти, створена 15 лютого 2000 року. Від 2000 року під керівництвом чл.-коресп. НАПН України, доктора педагогічних наук, професора Олександра Георгійовича Романовського функціонує наукова школа лідерства "Формування особистості лідера в науці, освіті, бізнесі", від 2015 року – Центр лідерства.

Кафедра входить до складу Навчально-наукового інституту соціально-гуманітарних технологій Національного технічного університету "Харківський політехнічний інститут".

У складі науково-педагогічного колективу кафедри працюють: 2 доктора педагогічних наук, 1 доктор наук з державного управління, 12 кандидатів педагогічних, 11 – психологічних, 2 – технічних, 1 – мистецтвознавства, 1– філософських, 1 – наук з державного управління; 5 співробітників мають звання професора, 21 – доцента.

    Peculiarities of Perception of Teaching Style and Motivation of Students’ Learning

    The objective of the article is to study the peculiarities of students’ perception of teaching style and to determine the correlation between such perception and motivation of students’ learning. The group of respondents included 254 future social and 156 technical specialists (a total of 410 students), methods of research were questioning and testing; Pearson correlation coefficient was used for statistical analysis. Students perceived the democratic teaching style as the most positive, and its use is associated with educational and cognitive motives. Authoritarian and laissez faire styles are seen as undesirable. The first is related to the motives of avoidance, and the second has feedback from professional motives of students. Comparison of the results of the survey of future social and technical specialists allowed us to determine that the latter perceive the authoritarian style more positively than students of social specializations.

    Teacher leadership at technical university

    The purpose of the article is to study the specificities of students’ perception of teacher leadership based on a comparison of the respondents’ assessments of teachers’ and managers’ personal qualities that define them as leaders in their professional activities. Teacher leadership may be associated with innovation, the use of techniques, pedagogical skills, organisational skills, creativity, personal qualities, etc. The following methods have been used in the research: questionnaires and tests based on the method of personal differentials. To determine the peculiarities of teacher leadership, a comparison between respondents’ answers about teacher-leaders and manager-leaders was made. The first group of respondents who evaluated the teacher-leaders included 87 students enrolled in the 6th year (master course) at the National Technical University “Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute”, Ukraine. The personal qualities of the manager-leaders were assessed by the masters of the “Public Management and Administration” at the same university, who study the master course having working experience from 3 to 23 years. The number of respondents in the second group was 81 students. The results of the research made it possible to determine that students associated pedagogical leadership, first of all, with moral and ethical qualities, pedagogical skills and the subject knowledge of their teachers. On the contrary, the qualities of active life most closely were associated with a manager-leader. The obtained results can be used in the development of university teachers’ training programmes.

    In this work, was analysed the features of leadership in such three important areas of public life as science, education and business in the context of ensuring effective management. Science today is the main source of knowledge and a powerful factor in innovative development, education acts as the sphere of production of staffing in science, business, and all other spheres of public life, and business in the conditions of a market economy actually performs the function of providing life support to society. In this work, scientific-theoretical and psychological-pedagogical aspects of the very leadership phenomenon and its role in ensuring the effectiveness of managing the joint activities of people is intertwined. Particular attention is paid to the characteristic features of governance in a post-industrial society, which is largely based on the principles of innovative development. Therefore, a modern leader must be an innovatively thinking person, improve his managerial skills and methods of influencing staff.

    Innovative character of modern development brings high requirements to the professional competence of a specialist. A professional should be considered a person not only of high competence, but also one who considers his professional activities one of themost important vital values. The desire for perfect performance of joint activities determines its requirements to other participants, his personal example, care for their professional and personal development. Thus, a real professional must inevitably become a leader. To do this is not enough only for his social status. Formation and development of it s leadership features and qualities in the process of education and training becomes one of the important and responsible tasks of the education system. The aims, methods and pedagogical conditions of the target training of the professional leader are considered.

    The analysis in the article suggests that a large number of researchers refer to the problem of understanding, focusing their attention on a variety of subjects of study. Hermeneutical task of pedagogy lies in the theory and practice of interpretation of the educational material for its deep comprehension and understanding. From the perspective of this task educational material is considered as a text that can be interpreted. Orientation of the learning process on assimilated knowledge understanding will greatly enhance its efficiency.
