Abstract

In today's highly turbulent economic environment, with increasing risks and increased competitive pressure, a systematic assessment of the financial and economic condition of an enterprise is of particular importance. It is diagnostics and forecasting that are fundamental tools that allow for timely identification of key development trends, determination of the level of business sustainability, analysis of internal growth reserves and assessment of threats to its further functioning. The discipline "Diagnostics and Forecasting of the Financial and Economic Condition of an Enterprise" provides the formation of competencies among applicants necessary for a deep understanding of the mechanisms of financial analysis, interpretation of reporting, risk assessment and use of modern forecasting models. It reveals the theoretical foundations and practical tools of comprehensive diagnostics, including the analysis of liquidity, solvency, business activity, profitability and financial stability. Special attention is paid to forecasting methods - from traditional economic and statistical models to modern machine learning tools that allow modeling future states of an enterprise in conditions of uncertainty. Mastering these methods creates the opportunity to form sound management decisions, prevent crisis phenomena and ensure strategic sustainability of the enterprise's development. Thus, the discipline contributes to the formation of a holistic vision of financial and economic diagnostics as the intellectual basis of effective management, increases the analytical culture of future specialists and ensures their ability to make informed decisions in market conditions.
