Abstract

The method for calculations of internal breaking loads acting on the rockets tanks is suggested. The cylindrical shell reinforced on the inside by the stringers and the frames is the main element of the rockets tanks. The problem is solved in two stages. The deflected mode of the tank is calculated on the first stage. On the second stage, a crack is placed on the most stressed point of the tank and the stress intensity factor is calculated. The system of four singular integral equations is solved numerically to calculate the stress intensity factor. The semi- analytical finite element method is used to calculate the deflected mode.
