Abstract
The article analyzes the ideas of Emile Durkheim, John Dewey, А. Schutz and K. Mannheim as the founders of the philosophy of education. Particular attention is paid to their definition of social essence of education and relationship education socialization. It is alleged that, using the ideas of these scholars, by combining institutional, functional is the socio-cultural approaches to the analysis of education can create a new paradigm of modern education for transforming society.
